Have you ever caught yourself indulging in reality cooking competition shows? Then you’ll love going out and taste testing food created by chefs right here in Richmond at Saturday’s Shockoe Chef Showdown!
The 2nd Annual Shockoe Chef Showdown will be serving $2 dollar samples of each chef’s food creation at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market located in Shockoe Bottom. After judging takes place, the chefs will be selling their dishes in bulk at a price the chef chooses.
Samples will be on sale from 11 am to 1 pm, but the event lasts until 4 pm on August 1st. Parking and admission are both free.
There will also be a special Market Basket Competition, where chefs will be presented with a basket containing a market fresh “secret ingredient” straight from our very own market vendors. The chefs will then have one hour to compete “Iron Chef” style to create a dish based on the secret ingredient for judging.
